Reviews about Walmart Supercenter
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆June 06, 2020, by Gabino EspinozaThis location does not have an in-house butcher, so HEB tends to have a better selection. Deli is great! Bakery runs out of the good stuff, so go early for best selection. Vegetable selection is decent but not the best, also they tend to run out of the specialty veggies often. Pharmacy is good, not complete on all products though, like vitamins. Good selection of clothes for all ages and toys for the kiddos. Wide variety of electronics, games, music, and movies. Good prices on ammo, but a pain to find an associate with a key. Lines tend to be long with cashiers, but they are nice and friendly! Open 24 hours is a huge plus!
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆April 02, 2020, by Kazi JahangirI was sent to three different registers which were open but the employees were too busy talking to each other instead of helping the customers. I also tried the self checkout which didn't work since the company is trying to install a new program. The flat refusal of an an employee to help me check out while she was attending the register was amazing.
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆February 09, 2019, by Travis FoxWould not honor sale prices. Miserable employees. Negative 5 Stars if it was possible. The family and I noticed a printed out sign posted in the Christmas Village display area. It stated Christmas displays items were 50% off. I grabbed the nearest employee and asked them if this meant what we thought it meant. If we could get Christmas village display items for 50% off. The employee said yes, this is what the sign means. So the family and I meticulously picked out the village items we wanted, keeping the total under $100 dollars. As we approached the only checkout line, it was clear the clerk was in a horrible mood. He looked a bit like Santa Clause, he was permanently seated and had a very sour look on his face and grumpier than usual demeanor. I told him we wanted to ring up the Christmas village items separately than our other $160 worth of items because they were on sale and we wanted to keep the sale items on one receipt. He simply replied with "No". My family and I gave each other a puzzled look, but figured he must have misheard us or was not directly the statement towards us. Well, he said the items were not on sale and called (his manager?) a guy named Adam over. Adam called a guy named Jason, who never showed up as far as I could tell. I ran all the way to the other end of the store to take a picture of the sign. Once I showed the picture, Adam agreed, the items would be discounted and had us move to another checkout line to process the village items. Then a new lady (employee, manager?) appeared, stating the items were not on sale. I told her I had now confirmed it with two separate employees. She said the sign referred to items out of the box, it just was not clear on the sign, and they would not be honoring the sale. Even people in line were telling her she was wrong. Alas, my family had to leave the store without the items we had carefully picked out. It is not like we were trying to take advantage of anything. Again, the total was going to be under a hundred dollars. Not only was the grumpy Santa clerk incredibly rude from the moment we stepped in front of him, the lady who appeared was immediately combative as if we were trying to rip off the store. Incredible! I should have stayed and argued the point of principle. I believe they would have honored it then. Unfortunately, my family was there and I did not want to make a scene. How are you going to make this right Walmart? I will be calling corporate tomorrow, as the example set by these employees is not right, and hopefully this is an opportunity for Walmart to either honor their sales, or at least ensure the employees they retain are not combative with customers who have done absolutely nothing wrong. We were extremely friendly through the entire ordeal. The only plus side here, is the employee Adam. He was helpful and attentive, while seemingly surrounded by combativeness, negativity and apparent incompetence. I know Walmart has a horrible reputation, now I know why first hand. I will be returning all Christmas presents I have purchased there over the past month, tomorrow. Other companies deserve my money much more. Walmart employees treat you like they couldn't care less about your business. I have already reordered all my gifts from Amazon just in time to be delivered for Christmas. UPDATE - the items are clearance on your website! How is it that this sale was not honored in the store?! UNBELIEVABLE.
